Blooming Shadow
FLORECE LA SOMBRA (BLOOMING SHADOW) is an exploration by Kim Torres of her three recent short films, a "trilogy of light" that has stood out internationally. Suncatcher (2021), Night Light (2022), and The Moon Will Contain Us (2023) are presented from within, so to speak, bringing together the traces of their making in this exhibition as part of the “Bocetos” program at satis.FACTORY.
Notebooks, enlarged frames, transpositions of the images into other media, and texts emanate from their making, and once shown, they come together in the space to unravel a work in motion. In the space, they form an archipelago of ideas and gestures that account for the creation of the three works, diverse and of different concerns, but united by the search for a unique language in opacity, luminous sensuality, human and non-human contact, and other cinematic pursuits.
